Su Trindle is a British designer and maker of sculptural modern silver and resin jewellery. My favourite place to be is my small workshop in my garden. I work alone, singing along to the radio striving to create beautiful well-designed, contemporary jewellery and make a living at it. This last is important, not just to my creativity and ego but to help feed by boys and the dog.

Treasure Box Ring

The blue treasure box ring pictured here was the my first piece of resin work.
I made it as part of a college project and barged in with all the bravado ignorance can bestow.
Obviously, it has a million faults. The band is too thin, I didn't key the surfaces and had to rebuild it and it's over filed. But it was enough to make me fall in love with the material,
Resin allows me to play with scale, form and colour to my hearts content.
This month , thanks to my lovely friend Sarah, I've re-visited this ring.
"Red" she said and red it is.
I love it and I loved making it and now I want to make another.
Green? Purple? What do you think?

  1. green.
or that odd duck-egg colour. those odd shifting colours in the sea as it comes in over hot, flat sand...

  2. These rings are so great!! I say green. And I love aqua, too..

  3. These rings are fab, make loads, i'm sure they will all sell,x

  4. I think you'll sell loads in a variety of colours - they are gorgeous!

  5. Thank you. I must admit aqua appeals. Oh all sea colours really.
