Treasure Box Ring
The blue treasure box ring pictured here was the my first piece of resin work.
I made it as part of a college project and barged in with all the bravado ignorance can bestow.
Obviously, it has a million faults. The band is too thin, I didn't key the surfaces and had to rebuild it and it's over filed. But it was enough to make me fall in love with the material,
Resin allows me to play with scale, form and colour to my hearts content.
This month , thanks to my lovely friend Sarah, I've re-visited this ring.
"Red" she said and red it is.
I love it and I loved making it and now I want to make another.
Green? Purple? What do you think?
green.
ReplyDeleteor that odd duck-egg colour. those odd shifting colours in the sea as it comes in over hot, flat sand...
These rings are so great!! I say green. And I love aqua, too..
