My photo
Su Trindle is a British designer and maker of sculptural modern silver and resin jewellery. My favourite place to be is my small workshop in my garden. I work alone, singing along to the radio striving to create beautiful well-designed, contemporary jewellery and make a living at it. This last is important, not just to my creativity and ego but to help feed by boys and the dog.

You are invited................to an Opening Night in Seattle

Ring 100 by Victoria Takahashi
Ring a Day
65 artists. 1 year. 365 rings.

May 5 - 29, 2011

Opening Reception: 5 - 8pm
First Thursday, May 5, 2011

Tonight is the opening night of the Ring a Day exhibition at the Punch Gallery in Seattle. If you can get there, do, please and take a picture for me. I have 6 rings in the exhibition which is just amazing but a sneaky picture or two of the curators, all the rings together or even the canapes would be fabulous!.

It all started so innocently on 1st January 2010 when Nina Dinoff, a fellow member of etsymetal wanted a creative boost for the new year. So we all began making a ring every day in any way, from any thing. Some fabulous pieces and friendships were forged along the way and so many brave people joined in.

Look at it now!

An exhibition at the prestigious Flux Conference of that august institution the Society of North American Goldsmiths (SNAG). The curators Shannon Conrad and Colleen Baran Kathryn Cole, Nina Gibson and Sara Westermark have worked really hard  to make this happen and I'm sure it'll be the star exhibition of the conference.

If you can get there, fantastic, if not then please join me and raise a glass to "Ring a Day"
